Texas has never felt so very far away. I just got off the phone with Aunt Mary. Hearing about the devastation of Ike makes my heart hurt so deeply. I wish there was something more I could do... I wish I could scoop you all up and bring you to California to forget about hour long grocery lines, water boiling and how your world has quite literally been blown all over the place.
I love you.
I miss you.
I am thinking of you constantly.

I am not sure where Aunt Mary is, but we DON'T LIKE IKE! We were blessed to have minimal property damage and no injury to loved ones. We got power back today, but none of the rest of our crew in Alvin did at last check. I hope things improve quickly for Aunt Mary. She will be in our prayers with everyone else.
