A change in perspective

Our family is definitely in the baby phase...

My brother and his wife are pregnant with twin girls!
My aunt and her hubby are trying to get pregnant.
and then yesterday I was reading from my list of fave blogs and saw
this and thought... oh how much fun is that going to be when our family gets together with all our little ones. Crazy, surreal, but fun!

Cliff and I recently went to visit a midwife. It was great and sooo the right place for me to be. Let me interrupt myself to say that 1. I am not pregnant and 2. we are not yet trying but I am a planner so that's why the appt. Yeah she thought it was a little funny too but I'd much rather she get to know me now than when I am all hormonal and tired. I actually can't imagine waiting until I am pregnant to pick my team of people that will help me through the journey. My friend Jessica went to the hospital, picked her classes out and did all kinds of this stuff before they were ever trying and while I thought it a bit odd at the time I was really proud of her and I totally get it now.

Anyway I was filling out all this paperwork and it said SS# of father. I am not kidding you I didn't miss a beat. I literally picked up my phone to call my dad and ask his social when I realized DUH they mean Cliff. Omg who's your daddy, right! The change in perspective was enough to make me do that nervous laugh/ head shaking combo... OMG he is going to be a father and that means I will be a mother. Seriously! A mother! And A Father! OH wow.

and how's about a little inspiration for your day...

This is magic.
Can you imagine how this would feel in person!

Much love,
Lacy

Lovin' the baby phase. It's such a new era in our family!!

As for the balloons, I don't have to imagine it. I actually experienced it a few years ago in the Albuquerque Balloon Festival. It's an amazing experience! When they started blowing up the balloons, I was like a little kid..jumping up and down.. saying "Look.. Oh my gosh.. Look at all of the balloons." I would love for all of us to go one year. Jeanette has plenty of family to house and feed us.

Lacy, you have time...I have to say, I think it is very interesting where your head is at these days. I am already looking forward to the next round of questions. Bring them on....

I love the babies and will be available for storytelling, babysitting, and any baking needs that arise. I can not imagine starting over (and don't really want to) with one just out of high school, and one about to be 11.
I used to watch the "Ballunar Liftoff" from the window of the office I worked in every year for 6 years. One year, I walked right under a low flying balloon in the parking lot and did not realize it until I got to the 6th floor and looked out the window at it RIGHT THERE alarmingly close to the building. It was 7 am, and I am not a morning person.

Ironically, I was coming in early to watch the balloons. I was just still very sleepy.

That pic is crazy awesome! Can't wait to chat. Wondering if you've started looking into any other midwives...

It's even more fun when the pregnancy is unplanned!!! LOL! Definitely a sharp contrast from baby # 2, which was planned. #3, in the near future, will be planned as well. So much fun to talk babies!

The balloon photo is awesome. I will have to take my 4-yr-old to the next local balloon festival as he is obsessed with balloons.
