Here's to washing your kitty.

Ned and the Hinge got their annual baths last night.
The Hinge per her usual endured it with a lot of grace, patience (and disdain all over her face).

Ned howled like a banchee and wanted none of it.

 Aw poor guy.

After about an hour they puffed back up and loved Cliff again.
 ha!

This is so funny! I tried to wash my russian blue last year, but she fussed soooo much we couldn't get all the shampoo rinsed out no matter how hard we tried! She was not pleased...

My cat puts up a fight too. Then he holds a grudge for a couple days before he warms up to me again.

They probably think that you two don't understand that they can bathe themselves, and feel that the whole thing is very undignified and unnecessary. They look a little defeated after their baths. :o/

Sorry to be the one to ask .... But why do you give them annual bathes?  I am so proud of my little hingie girl.  (I'm proud of Ned too but The Hinge truly loves me.)

I hope that did not sound like I don't think they should be bathed. When I was a kid, we bathed the cats every four to six months.

Oh my word, there's nothing sadder looking than a wet feline. Hope they've forgiven you this morning. ;)
