As seen at Whole Foods

Do you know how many great things I could make with a box of corks that big!
I mean seriously!

I have never seen anything like that before. How interesting! I am sure your creative juices were a-flowin'.

I have a HUGE collection of wine (and the occasional champagne) corks! I'd love to make something, but what??? Hmmm...
(Truth be told, I actually thought about throwing them away. You wants?)

Well, ask them if you can have some! Or go to a bar (or three) and ask if hey can collect for you for a month or so. I did that, and ended up with corks enough for several pin-boards. I think i even still have a box in the basement.
What would you do with all those corks, by the way? :-)

Oh, and JenCoen, if you´re completely out of ideas, there´s a cork-board tutorial on my site :-)

Love it! I was actually thinking not about crafting but about recycling our corks...lol. We collect them at home in Austin and have been trying to here in Spain, but embarrassingly enough there are just TOO MANY. Lots of vino and cava to be drunk in ol' Spain and not a lot of room for the all the corks in our little piso. :) We've actually had to start throwing them away (gasp) since we ran out of room in our little vase.

I saw a wall of corks in a craft room on an HGTV show, and a floor in a screened in porch on another show. They framed them in tightly, and the idea was to raise the floor and make it moisture resistant at the same time.
P.S. I love my security word today! It's spinkedo!

I like spindelmaker's idea and was actually going to suggest the same. Just ask them...we all know you are not shy. :-)
